Last week, Mark IV Construction Company, the primary contractor on the Trumbull sewer project,  filed a defamation lawsuit against Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst. In the three-count lawsuit, the company alleges that Herbst made “grossly misleading” public comments about its work on the town sewer project that has damaged the companies reputation. Herbst fired back claiming the suit was politically motivated, attempting to tie the company to his Democratic opponent in the First Selectman’s race. See full details here.
